SVCA’s conducted its third installation of web-to-podcast as we explored the fundraising experience of a young VC in the Southeast Asia market - home to the next wave of tech startups which has been attracting direct investments from global investors, from the likes of Jeff Bezos, into the space.
In this session, we took a closer look at how funds and startups have raised capital since the onset of Covid, and how that has affected fundraising as we know it, and learned from the experience of those who have been raising capital, and how fundraising strategies have progressed as companies or funds mature and grow.
Vicknesh R Pillay, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of TNB Aura, talked on their journey as a Singapore based thesis-led and high-conviction VC investing across Southeast Asia, and Darius Liu, Co-Founder and COO of ADDX, an MAS-licensed digital securities exchange on their mission to democratize private market investing by reducing the traditional private market investment ticket size from USD 1 Million to USD 10 000.
